Basic Description of EMS(Electromagnetic Stirring System)

EMS consists of coil, electric controller and cooling water system, electric control system consists of IPC, local control and inverter cabinet.

Technical Features of KEMEIDA EMS
A new algorithm has been developed by KEMEIDA and GL electromagnetic field software Co., names AGILD EM stirring algorithm, which uses new strip magnetic field differential integral equation. 
This software can design electromagnetic parameters optimized. EMS shall be with high magnetic induction and stirring force. So stirring effect shall be great. 
Stirring force can be calculated by this software according to different frequency and current. So the best frequency and current can be provided for user. 
Optimized design shall be done for L/D. Iron core length shall be increased properly. So stirring effect shall be improved. 
Kemeida has also other software for designing F-EMS to calculate ideal position of F-EMS. 
Kemeida EMS uses low voltage and large current, which can avoid damage of peak voltage to insulation. It shall make reduce current leakage and prolong EMS life. 
Frequency arrange shall be widened to choose the best frequency. 
Put EMS lower properly to make magnetic field around meniscus as little as possible to ensure strong magnetic field. 

Metallurgical Effect

(1). Improving sub-surface and inner quality of steel

According to different installation positions and combinations are divided into three modules as following: 

(1) Mould EMS: MEMS: 

EMS  installed in the mold zone, adopting rotary magnetic field. The rotary motion  be grow up in liquid steel

(2) Strand EMS: SEMS

EMS is installed the secondary cooling zone, adopting the rotary magnetic field or traveling wave field. The rotary motion or rectilinear motion will grow up in liquid steel. 

(3) Final Solidification Zone: FEMS

EMS is Installed the mold zone, normally, adopting rotary magnetic field. The rotary motion will grow up in liquid steel.
